What is the Transport Manager CPC?

The TM CPC proves you have the professional competence to be the named transport manager on a standard national or international Operator Licence. The role carries genuine legal responsibility: the transport manager must exercise continuous and effective management of the transport activities, ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, drivers comply with the rules, and the operator meets every undertaking on its licence. There are separate qualifications for Road Haulage (goods) and Passenger Transport (passenger), reflecting the distinct demands of HGV and PSV operations.

The assessment

The TM CPC is assessed in two parts: a multiple-choice examination testing knowledge across the syllabus, and a case-study examination requiring you to apply that knowledge to a realistic operational scenario.
