Fleet Tracking

Live fleet tracking that talks to your compliance

Track Analytics gives you live GPS tracking, route history and replay, geofence alerts and Green Driving behaviour scoring — and because it's built into the DDIR platform, where your vehicles are and how compliant your operation is finally live in one place. Use the trackers, dashcams or tacho-download hardware you already run, or add a unit from £1.50 a week.

Most operators end up with tracking in one system and compliance in another — a tracking portal that shows the map, and a separate platform that holds the walkarounds, defects and drivers' hours. Track Analytics closes that gap. It is FTC's fleet-tracking platform, built on the proven Traccar engine, and it plugs straight into DDIR so live location and driver behaviour sit beside the records that protect your Operator Licence.

That single source of truth is the difference. When the same drivers and vehicles power your tracking, your tachograph analysis and your daily compliance, you stop reconciling spreadsheets and start managing the whole operation from one screen — where the vehicle is, how it is being driven, and whether the paperwork behind it stands up.

What Track Analytics does

Track Analytics covers the core telematics every fleet needs, plus the driver-behaviour scoring that turns tracking into a genuine safety and fuel-saving tool.

Tracking that earns its keep

  • Live GPS tracking — see every active vehicle on a live map in real time, with current speed, direction and last-known position, so you always know where the fleet is and can answer a customer's "where's my delivery?" in seconds.
  • Route history & replay — every journey is recorded and can be replayed step by step, with stops, mileage and timings. Settle a delivery dispute, verify a timesheet or investigate an incident with the actual route, not a best guess.
  • Geofences with entry & exit alerts — draw virtual boundaries around depots, customer sites, congestion zones or restricted areas and get an automatic alert the moment a vehicle arrives or leaves, with full timestamps for site dwell and out-of-hours movement.
  • Speeding & idling alerts — flag vehicles that exceed your speed thresholds or sit idling on the engine, so you can curb fuel waste, emissions and the kind of driving that pushes up risk and costs.
  • Green Driving behaviour scoring — eco-driving and driver-behaviour analysis that detects harsh braking, harsh acceleration and harsh cornering, turning it into a per-driver score you can coach, league-table and trend over time.

Green Driving — coach the behaviour, not just the location

Knowing where a vehicle is only takes you so far. Green Driving tells you how it is being driven. Track Analytics scores each driver on harsh braking, harsh acceleration and harsh cornering, building an eco-driving and safety profile per person and across the fleet.

That does three things at once. It cuts your costs — smoother driving means less fuel burned, less brake and tyre wear, and fewer emissions. It cuts your risk — the driver who brakes hard and corners aggressively is the one most likely to have an incident, and now you can spot and coach them early. And it builds a defensible safety culture — a documented driver-behaviour programme is exactly the kind of proactive evidence the DVSA, a Traffic Commissioner and your insurer want to see.

Hardware? Use what you already have

The biggest barrier to fleet tracking is usually the hardware bill and the installation downtime. Track Analytics is built to remove it. Because the platform runs on Traccar — which talks to a very wide range of devices — you have three flexible ways to go live:

  • No new hardware needed — if you already run trackers from a previous provider, dashcams, or tachograph remote-download hardware, we can often connect that existing kit straight into Track Analytics. No reinstall, no downtime, and £0 hardware cost.
  • Add a tracker from £1.50 per week — where a vehicle has nothing fitted, a plug-and-play GPS unit is available from just £1.50 per active vehicle per week, so even a mixed fleet can be fully tracked without a big up-front outlay.
  • Mix and match — most fleets do exactly that: reuse the hardware they have on some vehicles and add units only on the ones that need them. You pay for tracking on active vehicles and for hardware only where you actually take it.

The result is a tracking rollout that fits the fleet you have today, not one that forces a fleet-wide reinstall before you see a single benefit.

Integrated with DDIR — tracking and compliance in one place

Track Analytics is a DDIR add-on, and that integration is what sets it apart from a standalone tracking portal. The vehicles you track are the same vehicles whose walkarounds, defects and incidents are managed in DDIR; the drivers you score on Green Driving are the same drivers whose drivers'-hours infringements are analysed and signed off in Tacho Analytics.

So instead of jumping between systems, you get the full picture against each driver and each vehicle: where it went, how it was driven, whether the daily check was done, what defects were raised, and whether the hours were legal. For a transport manager that joined-up view is the difference between firefighting across tabs and running a genuinely controlled operation — and it is why Track Analytics is best deployed alongside the rest of the DDIR compliance platform.

Simple pricing

Pay for active vehicles. Reuse the hardware you have.

Track Analytics is priced per active vehicle, so you only pay for the vehicles you actually run — and hardware is optional, because in many cases your existing kit will do the job.

Built on Traccar, backed by FTC

Track Analytics runs on Traccar, a mature, widely deployed tracking engine that supports an enormous range of GPS and telematics devices — which is exactly why it can talk to the hardware you already own. On top of that engine, FTC adds the Green Driving scoring, the DDIR integration and the transport-compliance expertise that turns raw location data into something a transport manager can actually act on.

That combination — a battle-tested tracking platform, eco-driving analytics and a direct line into your compliance records — is what makes Track Analytics more than a dot on a map. Book a demo and we'll show you live tracking, route replay and Green Driving on your own vehicles, and how it all fits with the rest of the DDIR platform.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to buy new hardware to use Track Analytics?+
Not necessarily. Track Analytics is deliberately hardware-flexible. If you want a plug-and-play tracker we supply hardware from £1.50 per active vehicle per week. But if you already run compatible trackers, dashcams or tachograph remote-download hardware, we can often connect those instead — meaning no new hardware and no installation cost. Many fleets go live with kit they already have.
Can I use my existing trackers and dashcams?+
Yes. Track Analytics is built on Traccar, which speaks to a very wide range of GPS trackers, dashcams and telematics devices. If you have hardware already fitted across the fleet — a previous tracking provider, camera units or remote tacho-download boxes — we can typically bring those into Track Analytics rather than ripping them out, so you keep your investment and avoid a fleet-wide reinstall.
What is Green Driving?+
Green Driving is Track Analytics' eco-driving and driver-behaviour scoring. It detects harsh braking, harsh acceleration and harsh cornering from each vehicle's movement data and turns it into a per-driver score and league table. That helps you cut fuel use, wear and emissions, coach the riskiest driving habits before they cause an incident, and evidence a positive safety culture to the DVSA and your insurer.
Does Track Analytics work with DDIR and tachograph analysis?+
Yes — that is the whole point. Track Analytics integrates with the DDIR compliance platform, so live tracking, route history and Green Driving sit alongside your driver walkarounds, defects, infringements and Tacho Analytics in one place. Instead of one screen for where the vehicle is and another for whether the operation is compliant, you manage both together, with the same drivers and vehicles.
How is Track Analytics priced?+
Track Analytics is 50p per active vehicle per week — you only pay for vehicles that are actually running. Hardware, if you need it, starts at £1.50 per active vehicle per week, or nothing at all if you reuse existing compatible trackers, dashcams or tacho-download hardware. There are no per-user charges. As Track Analytics is newer and currently in pilot, the best way to start is to book a demo and we'll scope the right setup for your fleet.
